Senior Process Engineer – New Client Launch (Electronics Manufacturing)

DirectPath Recruiting Services is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead new client launches for a growing automotive and electronics supplier in Huntsville, AL. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a strong background in SMT process development, automation, and customer-facing project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new customer product launches, from prototype to full production.
• Develop and implement manufacturing workflows and process documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure flawless execution and on-time delivery.
• Analyze cycle times, run rates, and line readiness for SMT and assembly operations.
• Troubleshoot process issues using SPC, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools.
• Interface directly with customers to define requirements, align goals, and ensure launch success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of SMT process engineering experience (flex/rigid-flex preferred).
• Experience with automation engineering, reflow profiling, and stencil design.
• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, IATF 16949, and/or AS9100 standards.
• Familiar with MRP systems (CSI) and MS Office tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Experience mentoring teams and supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) activities.
